About Dr. Terry
With over 22 years of global industry experience, Terry is recognised as a thought leader in digital health and healthcare innovation through commercialisation of new and emerging tech. Terry’s industry insights are in regular demand from international governments, healthcare organisations, public forums, and media outlets, and is a strategic advisor to a number of global organisations, including the G20. Terry is the CEO of The Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre (CRC), the largest digital health collaborative in the world. The Digital Health CRC is Australia’s leading organisation for healthcare innovation and commercialisation, underpinned by research excellence.
Terry has established and scaled a number of startups. His first startup was acquired at the age of 16 for $150k to a US multinational, and his last was acquired by IBM for $400M (a social health and care technology start-up).
A former professional athlete, Terry holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cambridge University, a first-class honors degree in Economics also from Cambridge University, and a Master of Science in
Business Information Technology. Terry was honored by HRH Queen Elizabeth II with an order of
Knighthood (C.M.G.) in recognition of his service overseas in British Intelligence.
